The hospitality sector of Springplank: food connects
At Springplank, we believe that food brings people together. Our hospitality initiatives facilitate meetings and help people move forward. Food and drink play a central role in our approach, sharing conversations and experiences. Our venues are accessible and welcoming, designed to create a warm atmosphere. We offer delicious meals , a good cup of coffee and a place where everyone feels welcome

Happie040
Happie040
Happie040 is a welcoming meeting place for everyone, both inside and outside TU/e. Whether you eat on site or take your meal with you, you are always welcome. Happie040 is about more than food. It brings together local residents, volunteers, former homeless people, interns and students, and offers employment opportunities.

Happie040 is a place of hope, connection and growth. Everyone is welcome to be part of this community and enjoy the power of food and togetherness.
Bakkie040
Bakkie040
Our coffee bar BAKKIE040 at Strijp-S and on the TU/e site is a breeding ground for cooperation and new opportunities. Here, (formerly) homeless people are trained as baristas, giving them valuable work experience and a stable base.

Bakkie040 is more than a coffee bar; it is a place where connections are made, where people are given new opportunities and come together to support each other.
Shoppie040

In the kitchen of the Springplank foundation, we cook daily for candidates (for candidates, homeless people staying in Social Care) of the Social Care in Eindhoven, residents of our locations (local residents) and Ukrainian refugees, and maybe even for you! Mounir Toub, also known from 24Kitchen and Koken met Max, is our chef.
