On National Volunteer Day, we say hello to our very own volunteer Tom. Tom is dedicated to keeping the Springplank website up to date. For example, he created the ‘Springplank in the news’ page! You can read this under the ‘news’ tab on this website. “Giving something good back to society runs in the family, my parents both did volunteer work too!” tells Tom. “There are many homeless people in Eindhoven and everyone benefits from helping them. It shouldn't be necessary in this country and that's why I join Springplank's vision to work preventively against homelessness.”

“Find something where your heart is.” Is Tom's answer when asked why he became a volunteer at Springplank. Why his heart lies with Springplank? “It's not just volunteering to keep myself busy and keep my brain training, but because I can actually contribute something through it. Springplank is also ideal because I get to schedule my own times and I am also very free in my activities, which I like.” Furthermore, Tom says he is super excited to learn more about Springplank, soon he will join our colleagues from team outreach!
