“I knew very quickly that I wanted to do this work” begins Charlotte, business manager at Bakkie040. Here she works with Şoreş, one of the candidates at Springplank and has been working at Bakkie040 since its opening. “We immediately clicked with each other” answers Şoreş when asked if he had to get used to Charlotte when she came to work at Bakkie040.
“Have you learned much from each other?”
“Yes really! First of all, I just learnt more about love and how to connect well with people. Sometimes I am also not so good at telling or saying things and then she always tells me to just tell. I really did learn that from Charlotte.”
“I did also really learn some things from Şoreş. He has been working here since the beginning and has taught me the ins-and-outs and tricks to make the job easier. For example, I myself have never really been much of a ‘baker’, whereas Şoreş has a feel for this. He has taught me how and what to do best.”
“How would you describe your collaboration?”
“The band was really chill for me from moment one. Şoreş is very independent and already knew what to do, so I really like that. What I also especially like is that people can come to Bakkie040 for something tasty when they are less fortunate and Şoreş gets in touch with these people faster because he knows the position. Once he brings a friend along, the ball starts rolling faster and more people from the target group come along. Şoreş actually makes it a bit more accessible for them to come in and I think that's very nice.”
“Do you good Şoreş! How do you do it then?”
“When I see them I always tell them that they can always come to us for food and drinks,” he says.”
