Eindhoven councillors visit winter emergency shelter: ‘Better than sleeping in the freezing cold’
The number of homeless people is growing in Eindhoven and this can only be solved by building a lot. This is the conclusion of councillors who visited the winter homeless shelter in Meerhoven.
Springplank040 is now able to cope thanks to the dozens of places in the winter emergency shelter previously occupied by Eastern Europeans. The regular shelters do not have enough housing at the moment and the number of homeless people is increasing. Hotels have even been deployed because the municipality had not counted on this growth.
