The number of homeless people in Eindhoven is rising faster than before. Partly because of this, the municipality has again decided to extend the current contract with Springplank040.
Springplank040 will continue to be responsible for the reception and guidance of homeless people in Eindhoven for the next two years. The current contract between the municipality and the organisation will be extended until 1 January 2028.
Despite the increased numbers, Springplank040 increasingly feels that it is ‘in control’. ”We cannot sit still, of course, because the inflow remains high, but we have really made strides in recent years,” Thijs Eradus says. ,,Although it remains exciting, because the numbers are a lot higher than when we started five years ago."
